How do I find out who my advisor is?

To access your whole life insurance cash value via an Inclined iLOC, we need your financial advisor's info to send an application. This guide helps you find your advisor's details and explains why it's crucial for starting the iLOC process.

Why we need to know your advisor

Inclined works directly with financial advisors who then extend invitations to their clients to apply for an Inclined Line of Credit (iLOC). Even if you're interested in opening an iLOC with us, we must first establish contact with your advisor to proceed with the application process.

Methods to Identify Your Advisor

If you're unsure who your financial advisor is, consider the following approaches to locate this information:

  1. Contact your insurance carrier by phone: Inclined currently partners with Northwestern Mutual, Guardian, and MassMutual. If you hold a whole life policy with one of these companies, you can contact them directly to inquire about your advisor. You can tell them, “I’m a current whole life insurance customer with your company but I don’t know who my advisor is. Can you help me find my advisors’ name and email information?”
    1. To make your life as easy as possible, we included the customer service phone numbers below:
      1. Northwestern Mutual Customer Support: 1-866-950-4644
      2. Guardian Customer Support: 1-212-598-8000
      3. MassMutual Customer Support: 1-800-272-2216
  2. Check your policy documents: Your whole life insurance policy papers should list your advisor's name and contact information. Ensure you're reviewing the most recent documents for the current policy year to accurately identify your advisor. Please note that your advisor may be listed under terms like "servicing agent" or "agent of record" rather than explicitly as "advisor."
  3. Examine your email correspondence: Search your email for communications from your insurance company or financial advisors. This may reveal your advisor's contact information.
  4. Access your online account: If you have an online account with your insurance carrier, log in and look for information about your advisor or policy manager.
  5. Inspect your bank statements: If you've been paying premiums, the transaction details might include the name of your advisor or their firm.

Next steps

After identifying your advisor, the process will proceed as follows:

  1. Provide us with your advisor's contact information (full name, email address, and phone number if possible) at support@inclined.com or by using the Contact Us form.
  2. We will contact your advisor to discuss the Inclined iLOC option.
  3. If your advisor is an existing Inclined partner, they can extend an invitation for you to apply for an iLOC.
  4. If they're not yet partnered with us, we'll provide them with information about our services.

It's important to note that your advisor plays a crucial role in helping you make informed financial decisions. They can offer valuable insights into whether an Inclined iLOC aligns with your financial goals and circumstances.
