How do one-time payments impact my AutoPay?

You can make a one-time payment at any time, even if AutoPay is enabled.

When you do, your payment will first be applied toward your statement interest, which may reduce the total amount processed by AutoPay.

Key scenarios

  1. AutoPay set to pay statement interest only

If your one-time payment covers all or more of your statement interest, AutoPay will not run for that billing period.

  2. AutoPay set to pay statement interest + additional principal

If your one-time payment exceeds your statement interest, AutoPay will still run for the additional principal amount you’ve configured.

Your one-time payment will only reduce the interest portion of your upcoming AutoPay.
