Making Changes to Your Life Insurance Policy Assigned to Inclined

Some policy changes need Assignee signature. Submit docs to support@inclined.com for review. We'll check impact on iLOC credit limit. Process takes 3-5 days. If approved, we sign, return forms and submit to carrier.

We understand that you may need to make changes to your life insurance policy from time to time. This guide will walk you through the process of making changes to a policy that is assigned to Inclined.

Policy Changes Requiring Assignee Signature

Some policy changes require an Assignee signature because they may affect the policy's values. If your Insurance Carrier informs you that your requested change requires an Assignee signature, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare the necessary documents:
    • Policy Change Application
    • In-Force Ledger (IFL) showing all projected years of the policy after the change
    • Policy change estimate (if available for the requested change type) Tip: You may need to work with your Financial Advisor to prepare these documents.
  2. Submit the documents:
    • Send all prepared documents to support@inclined.com for review.
  3. Inclined review process:
    • Our team will review the documents to determine if the requested change would affect the Credit Limit of your Inclined Line of Credit (iLOC).
    • If the Credit Limit change is acceptable or if there's no change, we'll provide the signed Policy Change Application to you and/or your Financial Advisor.
  4. Finalize the change:
    • Submit the signed Policy Change Application to your Insurance Carrier for processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does this process take?

Inclined's review typically takes 3 to 5 business days, depending on the complexity of the policy change.

What does Inclined consider during the review?

We verify whether the change will affect the policy's values. Since we underwrite Credit Limits based on the Available Loan Amounts within each assigned life insurance policy, changes affecting cash value may require adjustments to your iLOC credit limit.

What happens after my request is approved?

  1. We'll contact you and/or your Financial Advisor to confirm:
    • Whether the policy change affects cash value
    • If any adjustments to the iLOC Credit Limit are necessary
  2. We'll provide the signed form to your Financial Advisor for submission to the Insurance Carrier.

Please Note: Processing times with the Insurance Carrier are not within Inclined's control.
